A pedicure chair such as this one is used for clients to receive relaxing treatments at a day spa, such as the Black Bear Resort & Spa in Port McNeill on Northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. These chairs are comfortable and as you can see here the client would be surrounded by relaxing candles and products to make their visit to the spa more enjoyable.
A pedicure can take anywhere from 30 minutes to well over an hour, depending on the type of pedicure that the client wants to receive. Then their feet are washed and scrubbed and sometimes massaged before being dried and lathered with thick lotion and then their choice of nail polish is applied. Sometimes, depending on the type of pedicure ordered, the client can get a paraffin foot treatment, which adds so much more moisture to your feet. ... continue below the picture...
Some people, mostly women, like to get regular pedicures, especially during the summer months when it is much more common to wear sandals and everyone can see your feet. Pedicures also improve circulation so there is a health benefit to them as well.
