Fall is probably the most colorful time of the year. One of my favourite destinations for fall photos and pictures is Nova Scotia in Canada as well as Alaska with its famous Indian Summer.

... It is a transition time of year, but one that delights people of all ages due to the beauty of the surroundings and the change that is in the air.
While the days grow shorter and the nights grow longer, one of the best aspects to fall is the turning of the leaves. Some trees have leaves that turn such bright vibrant colors, it is hard to imagine what their leaves looked like before. Some of the best places in the world to see the leaves changing color are in areas such as North America, Europe and Eastern Asia, as these regions are home to many deciduous trees.
Leaves on the trees change in the Fall when the green leaves of the deciduous trees lose the amount of chlorophyll they contain. As this natural chemical needed to make things grow is gradually decreased, the leaves turn from green to a glorious red, orange or yellow and finally fall from the trees.
Some people turn the occasion of the leaves changing in to an opportunity for travel to capture the amazing colors. Areas in places like Canada and New England capitalize on this tourism as the natural phenomenon of Fall is so breathtaking people will travel from far and wide to witness it.
Fall can also be one of the best times to travel as the summer rush is over, the busy tourist season is dying down and the locations that were really hot in August will be cooling to a more enjoyable temperature.
Fall is also considered a time of abundance in many societies as it is closely related to the autumn harvest and the collection of food, so it is not only a beautiful time for some but also a plentiful one; hence why it is the favorite season of many.
