A low flying adult Bald Eagle is caught in the afternoon sun as swoops above the Cheakamus River in British Columbia, Canada.
It is one of the most powerful sights to see a flying bald eagle close, but it is also very difficult to capture a flying bald eagle in a photo, especially when it is overcast and difficult to get the right shutter speed. In this shot, the light of the steep afternoon sun caught this majestic bald eagle as it was flying just metres above the river. These light conditions clearly highlight the massive wing span of a Bald Eagle in flight.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1DS, aperture of f/6.3, exposure time of 124999/100 sec. on ISO 200, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 160mm.
