Well within the boundaries of the Canadian Shield, Woodland Caribou Provincial Park is carpeted with lush boreal forest which, from an aerial perspective, stretches as far as the eye can see. Because of it's close proximity to the prairies of Manitoba, the park also features a mix of western vegetation.
Featuring a vast network of pristine lakes and rivers, this beautiful provincial park situated in northwest Ontario, supports a huge variety of flora and fauna including one of the largest herds of Woodland Caribou (for which it is named).

... Hiking is also possible however, there are no designated trails to follow. Most people visit the park for sport fishing, back country camping, canoeing, and for wildlife viewing.
