Thin wisps of clouds across the horizon from the shores of Ruby Beach in Washington, USA add to the soft pastel colors of the sunset. The combination of the calm waters surrounding the large rock formations along the beach, the beautiful sunset that reflects off the water and low tide makes this photo priceless.Beaches along the Washington coast are plentiful but Ruby Beach is where you will find interesting pieces of driftwood, rocks and sea creatures. The sand has a unique blend of red to it and this is how the beach captured its name.It is quite a trek down to Ruby Beach and you should always check the tides as it could be hazardous at high tide. There is no where to go if the tide is in and large logs are often crashing against the shoreline.
