The Loarre Castle in Aragon, Spain is not the Emerald City, but it has a storybook history. The castle was situated on the frontier between Muslim and Christian lands, back in the 11th and 12th centuries. Beneath the Loarre Castle there are dungeons, cellars and tunnels, and much of the ruins have been rebuilt during the 20th century.
