The Yellowhead Highway 16 stretches west between Winnipeg in Manitoba to Masset on the Queen Charlotte Islands - a distance of 3,500kms. When planning road trips on the Yellowhead Highway, take into consideration that the highway also runs south to Hope in British Columbia, a section which is called Yellowhead Highway 5. The diversity of scenery is stunning as you travel from Manitoba, and Alberta in Canada's interior then pass through the snowcapped peaks of the Rocky Mountains which straddle Alberta and British Columbia, and onto the rugged West Coast. The Yellowhead highway (also known as Yellowhead Highway 5) takes a turn to the south at Tete Jaune Cache and connects to Trans Canada Highway 1 at Hope.
