Heather and Paul McCartney are surrounded by the media during a visit to the ice floes in the Gulf of St Lawrence in Canada in March 2006. The visit was planned by the Humane Society of the United States to draw international attention to the brutal activity which was set to get underway here at the end of March - the annual harp seal hunt.
