Photo: Nature Foggy Spring Forest Lake Superior Ontario

A moody and foggy nature spring day along a beautiful deciduous forest in Lake Superior Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada.

The Lake Superior area between Thunder Bay and Sault Ste Marie in Ontario is on of my favorite nature locations in Ontario. I captured this photograph in Lake Superior Provincial Park near Sinclair Cove. It was spring time, early June with hardly any tourists around. The area can be very moody and foggy around this time but the air is fresh and sometimes has some warmth in it.

The fresh growth is coming out in vivid greens on the trees and slowly taking over the last few brown leaves which survived the long and cold winter. It is the perfect soft contrast to this high key nature scene and fits right into this mystic forest photo.

If you ever in this nature area, especially out of season, make sure to plan some extra days, this area is even photogenic when it rains or when its foggy.

This picture was captured with the Canon 1 Ds Mark 3, 200mm, 1/6sec @ f18, ISO 100, no filters were used. ... continue below the picture...
