Renting a boat is an excellent way for tourists to get a closer look at some of the ice chunks that continuously calve off Sawyer Glacier. The only sounds you experience while boating around the glacier is the actual glacier breaking and the icebergs thundering into the water, wildlife calls and the sound of your own boat.

The front of the South Sawyer Glacier ranges approximately one third of a mile and is surrounded by 7000 foot high snow covered mountains, forest and incredible waterfalls.

The South Sawyer Glacier in the Tracy Arm - Fords Terror Wilderness Area in Alaska is one of the most amazing and tranquil places to see for tourists that visit Alaska.
