This arena is located in El Mercadillo, the newer area of Ronda. Plaza de Toros is a tourist attraction in Ronda and there is an admission fee to enter however, the fee is small. The arena also contains a small museum that is dedicated to the history of the 'sport' of bullfighting.
The Plaza de Toros of Ronda also has a place in pop culture history, as it was here that Madonna shot her very famous video 'Take a Bow' in 1994. In the video, Madonna's character attends a bullfight where her lover is the matador, and she is heartbroken as he has just left her after only one night together.
