The shores of the Great Lakes at sunset can be a place of romance for many couples. This stone formation and this view out towards the lake is found on the beach at Agawa Bay on the shores of Lake Superior in Lake Superior Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. Many couples will come here to admire the view and to get some alone time, or to enjoy a romantic camping experience along the shores of one of the Great Lakes of Ontario.
Agawa Bay means sacred place and is a place that is considered sacred to the OJIBWA people. Rocks and rock formations are common along the shores of Lake Superior at Agawa Bay as they have either been placed there by some passerby, or many rocks wash up on these shores from the lake. This is also the Bay where you can see rock layers on the cliffs, some of which are considered to be 2.5 billion years old. However, this view is out towards the lake and reminds the viewer of the calming effect of the water and the romantic light created by the sun and as you gaze at this picture.
