The Lake Superior area between Thunder Bay and Sault Ste Marie in Ontario is on of my favorite nature locations in Ontario. I captured this photograph in Lake Superior Provincial Park near Sinclair Cove. It was spring time, early June with hardly any tourists around. The area can be very moody and foggy around this time but the air is fresh and sometimes has some warmth in it.
The fresh growth is coming out in vivid greens on the trees and slowly taking over the last few brown leaves which survived the long and cold winter. It is the perfect soft contrast to this high key nature scene and fits right into this mystic forest photo.
If you ever in this nature area, especially out of season, make sure to plan some extra days, this area is even photogenic when it rains or when its foggy.
This picture was captured with the Canon 1 Ds Mark 3, 200mm, 1/6sec @ f18, ISO 100, no filters were used. I lightly digitally processed the RAW file with Lightroom, Photoshop and OnOne Photo Tools.
Because of its uniqueness and moodyness I will include this picture in my Fine Art Print Collection.
Foggy spring day in deciduous forest along Lake Superior Provincial Park near Sinclair Cove in northern Ontario, Canada.
I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III, aperture of f/18.0, exposure time of 1/6 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 200mm.
