A vineyard overlooks the beautiful Okanagan Valley, and Skaha Lake near Penticton in Southern British Columbia. Hawthorne Mountain Vineyards was originally established in the early 1900's as a working ranch by the Hawthorne Brothers. It was later purchased by Major Hugh Fraser, an eccentric character, who was the first to plant grapes on the property and turn it into a vineyard.
The Okanagan Valley in British Columbia is a perfect vineyard region which produces world class and award winning wines.
