The famous Staatsoper Theatre in downtown Vienna in Austria, Europe has housed many of the world's most well known operas. The staircase leading to the upper seating of the theatre has been the pathway for some very famous people who have come to see the elegant productions held here.
At the top of the staircase, the chandeliers light up the area and shine on the exquisite frescoes that decorate the walls and ceilings. The building was originally built in 1869 but was later destroyed in World War II. Some of these frescoes were lost but some were saved and reused when the theatre was rebuilt in 1955 and officially opened again.
