Skirting the shores of Lake Ontario for some 40 kilometres, the city of Toronto has many viewpoints, but one of the best places to see this vast cityscape by night is from Centre Island.
The ever changing and expanding cityscape of downtown Toronto has two ever present and recognizable icons: the CN Tower, which is Canada's tallest National Tower and the world's 2nd tallest building (after the Burj Dubai in the United Arab Emirates), and also the dome shaped Rogers Centre. These two "static" buildings only change during the evening light shows which add an interesting dimension to the city view.
Under the darkening sky at night, the reflections of the Toronto City lights creep over the surface of Lake Ontario - dancing...
... and sparkling to the rhythm of the water.

The dramatic cityscape of downtown Toronto is best seen from the Toronto Islands where reflections of the city's bright lights are cast on the surface of Lake Ontario. The Toronto Islands are a short ferry ride from the city centre.
