While driving the Glacier Highway on the West Coast of the South Island, stand on the cliff at Knights Point and enjoy the real beauty of New Zealand. The scenery is stunning as you look out over the Tasman Sea and the miles of emptiness over the horizon.
A fog bank limits the distance you can see but the sun's rays still manage to shine through and glisten off the surface of the Tasman Sea. Large rock formations sit off the point as the sea swaddles behind them and the waves crash in along the base of the cliff.
