The scenery around the North Taranaki Bight on the North Island of New Zealand is exceptional even on rainy days, but after a beautiful day as the sunset nears an end, there are not enough words to explain the scenery. The sky is glowing from the rays of the sunset as thin wisps of clouds float leisurely in the sky.
In the background, fine layers of snow adorn the peak of Mt. Egmont as thicker clouds begin to form and linger around the base of the mountain. The lighting reflecting off the water brightens the high ledges of the Whitecliffs which make up the beauty of the North Taranaki Bight on the North Island of New Zealand.
In the foreground of this picture the tops of the cliffs are blanketed with lush greenery making the perfect location to relax and watch the sunset over Mt. Egmont. The cliffs along the coastline of the North Taranaki Bight vary in height with some being about sixty feet high and others towering for hundreds of feet. To get the full effect of the height of these cliffs, take to the beach walk at low tide and enjoy the scenery from a different angle.
