Close to the coastline off Northern Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, a male Orca shows off his tall dorsal fin while surfacing. The dorsal fin, especially on a male Orca, is the first thing seen when a Killer Whale surfaces and usually the last thing seen before diving.

Being able to capture a large male Orca on film while in these waters is spectacular in itself, but having the scenic view of the mountain range in the background is an added bonus.
