As two people walk along the Historic Taft District beach in Lincoln City along the Oregon Coast in the USA, three glass floats lay to rest near a piece of driftwood. Beautiful colors swirl together on each of the glass floats and every year the Lincoln City Glass makes over 2000 of them for the millennium project. These glass floats are hidden and scattered on the Taft District Beach and other beaches in Lincoln City for people to find and partake in a project called "Finders Keepers".
The glass floats that are hidden on the beach are different shapes, colours and sizes and they can be found starting in October right up to Memorial Day in May of each year. They could be placed anywhere on the beach, so be sure to look in and around every nook and cranny when wandering the coastal shores. If you find any of the glass floats, they are yours to keep.
When visiting the Historic Taft District along the Oregon Coast in the USA, spend a day with your family on the beach in search of the glass floats. A studio is set up in town where artists make the glass floats and you can view the wide range that they have on display.
