Tablelands Trail Waterfall Gros Morne National Park

A 4 kilometre (return) long trail leads to a pristine waterfall in the Tablelands, and a significant and important site in Gros Morne National Park, where the earth's mantle is exposed.

The Tablelands Trail follows a road which eventually skirts a pristine stream, then eventually leads to where the stream trickles through a pile of rocks to form a cascading waterfall. It's here that the effects of plate tectonics are the most evident in Gros Morne National Park, where the rocks appear to be coated by a hard but cracked material.

Further along the trail behind the waterfall, the valley sweeps around like a large basin which ends abruptly as a semi circle.
