The Waiohine River created a large gorge in past years and to enter the Tararua Forest Park on the North Island of New Zealand you must cross over this suspension bridge. Hanging from reinforced steel cables that are affixed into huge slabs of concrete, this suspension bridge is extremely safe to walk over.

While the new bridge is being built, access to the park will be limited and people will have to cross the Waiohine River to reach the Tararua Forest Park in New Zealand which is not advisable depending on the height of the river.
