As the sun sets on yet another day in Ontario Canada, the visitor is able to appreciate the surreal beauty of George Lake and its surroundings in Killarney Provincial Park. This lake is about the size of 4,000 acres and contains many coves and bays for visitors to explore. Northen Pike, Lake Trout and White Fish are the main species of fish that can be found in this lake and fishing is permitted, however a 'catch and release' progam has been implemented so that the lake remains a major trophy fish lake and is not depleted by over fishing.

... which attracted a group of artists eager to capture the essence of the landscapes and try to reproduce the beauty of the area in their art. This group called the Group of Seven loved it so much that they persuaded the Ontario government to make it a provincial park, so that it would be protected for years to come. People can now come here to swim or paddle on George Lake, camp and hike and of course paint.
Canada is known for its gorgeous scenery and this is just one of the many provincial parks across the country that allow people to see just how untouched and gorgeous some parts are. It's important to preserve these areas as provincial parks for years to come.
