The lighthouse and the Lighthouse Trail at Peggy's Cove in St Margarets Bay in Nova Scotia is one of the busiest and most loved tourist attractions in the region. A small Canada Post department is now located on the lower level of the lighthouse that people can post letters from back to their family members back home. A lighthouse has stood on this site since 1868, but the first one was a wooden structure. The current one was built in 1914 and is made of concrete. The light that shines brightly from it is a red light, but it has also been a white and a green one in the past.
