The stone houses in the beautiful little village of Hecho situated in the Valle de Hecho in the province of Huesca in Aragon are typical of the architecture of the other towns and villages in the Pyrenees area of Spain.
The village of Hecho in Spain has a population of 1,000, and is the administrative centre of the surrounding valley. The tourist office can be found in an old farmhouse altered to also house a Contemporary Arts Museum. History does repeat itself for Hecho, because in the 9th century the village was the county seat of Biello Aragon.
Visitors who do not drive, hike or ride bicycles have to spend a night in Hecho as the only bus service from the town of Jaca arrives in the evening and returns next morning. However, the charm of the pretty village and the peaceful aura is worth an night or two stay in the friendly 'casa rurales' or the Hotel.
