The Stephansdom Cathedral in the downtown core of Vienna, Austria was near devastation during World War II but due to its importance to the city, it was reconstructed with the aid of the Regional States. This cathedral was originally built in 1147 and has been the centre of Vienna for centuries, still being one of the most popular sights to see while touring through Vienna, Austria.
