One of the 4 seasons of the year, spring is the transitional season between winter and summer. Seasons are generally defined by the average monthly temperatures with each season lasting three months.
The sight of cheery yellow daffodils, fiery red tulips, or beautiful pink cherry blossoms are the early signs of spring, as are the longer, warmer days which often induce a sigh of relief that summer is just around the corner.
Spring is also when daylight savings starts in many countries around the globe allowing us to take full advantage of the longer daylight hours. A one hour forward adjustment of the clock is all it takes.
In the Northern Hemisphere Spring usually spans March, April, and May whereas in the Southern Hemisphere spring is September, October, November.
