The soldiers at the entrance to the King's Bastion at the Fortress of Louisbourg in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia march back and forth in their traditional uniform to ensure the safety of the king. As one of the soldiers goes back and forth along the wooden ramp, the other stands in position along the wall keeping a close watch on the area.
The uniform which each of the soldiers wear are replicas of the ones which were worn back in the eighteenth century. Many tourists have to reassure themselves that everything at the Fortress of Louisbourg is an re-enactment of the eighteenth century, as all the soldiers are very good at their jobs.
