The Serchio river bridge, Ponte della Maddalena, near the village of Borgo a Mozzano in the province of Lucca, Italy was built in the late 11th and early 12th centuries. The "Bridge of Mary Magdalene" survived through the years until 1836, when a flood damaged it severely. The span was repaired and at the beginning of the 20th century another arch was added to accommodate the road surface.
