This National Historic Site in Ontario is a stunning display of colour during Autumn and the scattered leaves create a pathway to the entranceway of the temple. The building that houses the Sharon Temple was built in 1825-1832 and has become a permanent structure that represents a testament to the faith and works of the Children of Peace.
Many services were held at the Sharon Temple in Ontario, Canada up until 1886 when the last one was held for good. The temple was close to being demolished in 1918 but was saved by the York Pioneer and Historical Society and was officially declared a National Historic Site.
Visitors can enjoy the museum, gift store and other attractions at the Sharon Temple from the middle of May to the middle of October from Thursdays to Sundays. Autumn is the best time for a visit as you can also enjoy the fascinating shades that surround the exterior grounds of the temple.
Touring the grounds of the Sharon Temple during Autumn you can capture some of the most amazing pictures. While the array of colours still cling to the branches, others have scattered themselves to the ground below and landed where ever they please.
