Standing at the Soo Locks in the city of Sault Ste. Marie in Ontario, Canada you get a spectacular view of the International Bridge that spans the St. Mary's River. With both the American and Canadian sides of the International Bridge, the total length is about 2.8 miles. Before this bridge was built, the only way to cross the St. Mary's River was by ferry or rail and now for a small toll fee, the International bridge has made life much simpler for people in Ontario and Michigan.
