The Romanesque church of Sant Miquel, a 12th century parish church, can be found in the Place de Gleisa, the Town Square of Vielha, the capital of the Vall d'Aran, in Catalonia, Spain. In Spanish the church would be called Iglesia de San Miguel, but Sant Miquel is the Catalonian version.
The bell tower of Sant Miquel is an octagonal design and was added in the 14th century. The simple beauty of the church is a great asset to the Town Square of Vielha and a landmark throughout the area. Visitors to Vielha are not likely to miss seeing Sant Miquel because the tourist office is also in the Town Square.
