Rivers trickling along their chosen pathways in the summer months or raging over gigantic rock ledges creating amazing waterfalls in the winter months are truly one of the most beautiful forms of nature that you will find. A river is a natural waterway that is usually formed by precipitation or from a glacier melt and flows from a higher ground level to the lowest point it can reach.
Rivers add such beauty to areas and have contributed greatly to the tourist income for many places, especially those of attractive scenery. Rivers aid in keeping the land flourishing with flora and provide a means of survival for the enormous amount of wildlife throughout the mountain ranges.
People love to utilize the rivers for their enjoyment and take in some of the sports that rivers have to offer. Kayaking, river rafting, canoeing and photography are just a short list of outdoor activities that people partake in on and around the rivers throughout the world with each one being more spectacular than the last one.
