The sun sparkles off a waterfall which drops fifty-five meters from the cliffs above creating a beautiful rainbow in Bridal Veil Falls near Te Mata in Waikato, New Zealand. As the water hits the surface of the pool below, the water splashes over the moss covered rocks.
To reach this incredible waterfall, there is an easy hour walk which will lead you to the top of Bridal Veil Falls running alongside the Pakoka River. The viewing areas atop the falls are breathtaking but for the more adventurous types, follow the steep stairs down to the base of the pool where beautiful rainbows come to life.
Most of the rocks at the base of the waterfall are very soft and have been eaten away by the force of the water.
