The D952 highway maneuvers through steep rock cliffs of the Grand Canyon du Verdon in the Provence, France where you turn corners that almost seem like you are entering no man's land. The scenery through the Grand Canyon du Verdon is absolutely spectacular and is highly recommended while visiting France.
When driving the highway you drive deep into the Canyon du Verdon valley where all you see along the sides of the highway are gigantic rock cliffs covered with lush greenery. If you access the Canyon du Verdon from the west you have the option of driving the North Rim or the South Rim. Just south of Moustiers-Ste-Marie, Highway D952 extends for 31 kilometers across the northern side of the canyon. Highway D952 is a journey that you will never forget and is worth every moment while visiting in the Provence, France.
