There is not much time left before the sun disappears completely and Gillespies Beach near Fox Glacier on the South Island of New Zealand will be in darkness. As the sun lights up the region around Gillespies Beach, the waves come crashing against the shoreline.
Each pebble on the beach twinkles as the rays from the sun at sunset extend across the landscape. The yellow sky radiates the entire area and sends a glowing message to all visitors that are lucky enough to get to see this stunning sight.
Gillespies Beach is a very intriguing place to visit as it was once a gold mining town that come to an end fairly quickly. Now you can following hiking trails that lead you to scenic locations around parts of the South Island of New Zealand where you can find a peaceful location to watch the sunset change the skies into yellow hues.
Strolling along the beach over the small rounded rocks and black sand is a paradise for beach lovers that need plenty of open space. The coastline runs for miles and usually the only sounds that you hear are the surfing waves and sea birds soaring above.
Gillespies Beach on the South Island of New Zealand is one of the best places to find unique rocks and create rock towers, search for extraordinary pieces of driftwood or peacefully sit and relax watching a New Zealand sunset in action.
