The reflections of construction work, a huge Canadian flag, scaffolding and Cathedral Tower can be seen perfectly in the large windows of this building in downtown Vancouver. Next to this building, in the background with the green roof, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver can be seen and it is easily recognizable because it is a major Vancouver landmark.
Vancouver is a city that is growing and developing all the time, so construction site and scaffolds covering buildings is not an uncommon sight. Especially before the city hosted the 2010 Olympic Games, it was a hive of activity for construction as officials were trying to ready the buildings in time for the world to arrive on their doorstep. The large Canadian flag covering part of the building shows just how patriotic Canada can be, and it makes the construction more aesthetic as well as hiding some of it.
The Fairmont Hotel Downtown Vancouver, which can be seen peeking out behind this building, is an easily recognizable building in Vancouver, and many visiting celebrities and political figures have stayed there. Fairmont is a chain of hotels, but the Vancouver location may be one of their most famous and is located in the heart of the city for easy access to all attractions.
