The landscape of Gillespies Beach near Fox Glacier in Westland, New Zealand, is silhouetted during the sunset hours as the sun fills the sky with a bright yellow glow. The water twinkles in the lighting as the waves softly break along the beach bringing a peaceful and calming aura to the entire area.
There are plenty of serene areas along Gillespies Beach to watch a beautiful sunset illuminate the region as the coastline runs for miles. Gillespies Beach is a very interesting place to stop and explore during the day as hiking trails take you to various locations. In the 1860's, Gillespies Beach was a gold mining town which became well known for a short period of time leaving behind only the houses which still show signs of the history of Gillespies Beach.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/7.1, exposure time of 1/1000 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 70mm.
