Waterton Lakes National Park is known for its gorgeous scenery and surroundings and this scenic view captures perfectly the glorious sunset just peeking out behind the peaks of the mountains. It looks as if the land behind the mountains is on fire as it is glowing so brightly orange and yellow. In this picture one can see the mountain peaks and some trees in the foreground and it looks as if the mountains are touching they sky as they are so large and magnificent.
Waterton Lakes National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve, so that means that it is a protected land that cannot be developed or altered. This is important because there are hundreds of species of wildlife and plants that live in this park and if they lose their habitat, that could be very damaging for the ecosystem and for their population as a whole.
One of the most fascinating aspects to Waterton Lake National Park and one of the reasons that visitors make a point to come to the park is the fact that so many diverse landscapes converge here, so it is a chance to explore some very diverse terrain. It is also stunningly beautiful as one can see by this picture and if anyone gets a chance to watch a sunset here, they should definitely take it.
