As though putting on a show for sunset, these threatening storm clouds rolled in above Winnipeg, the capital city of Manitoba, Canada, then almost as soon as the sun had set the clouds dissipated to reveal the stars above.
The prairie province of Manitoba in Canada is famous for its stunning sunset displays at the end of the day but as famous as its sunsets are, it is also known for its dramatic storms often occurring in the summer months. A perfectly clear day in the City of Winnipeg can quickly change as dark clouds roll in and sparks of lightening streak across a blackened sky - followed by the rumble of thunder.
While most people take cover at the first sign of a storm or the gathering of menacing clouds, a scene like this is almost too good to leave without a photo.
As the dark storm clouds gathered and seemed to engulf the city of Winnipeg, the sky above was suddenly lit up by the vibrant sunset which painted the top of the dark clouds a tinge of pink.
