A large carnivorous bird with mainly white plumage with a fringe of black feathers along the edges of its wings, the White Stork will often build its nest high up on man-made platforms and power poles such as in this picture taken in the Camargue.
A chick and adult stork rest in their nest in the Parc Naturel Regional de Camargue of France. This is a large bird which belongs to the Ciconiidae family.
White Storks migrate to Africa during the European winter months but during the summer they return to Europe and build a large nest for their brood which usually consists of 4-7 eggs/chicks.
