A tree in the cypress family, Redwood trees are the giants in the tree world and are capable of reaching a height 115m. They are also long lived - with some of the oldest reaching the grand old age of 2200 years. One of the largest remaining tracts of redwoods trees is in California, USA.

I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1DS, aperture of f/9.0, exposure time of 25/10 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 48mm.
