Photo: St Lunaire Griquet Coastline Newfoundland Canada

A fishing boat docks along the coastline of St. Lunaire-Griquet in Newfoundland, Canada as pack ice still lingers in the harbour.

The pack ice has not totally melted around the harbour of St. Lunaire-Griquet in Newfoundland, Canada which means the fishing boats still remain docked along the coastline until it is safe to venture out. The weather continues to warm up every day creating a faster melting process for the pack ice that settles in the harbor. When the pack ice moves in, you can sit along the waterfront and watch large masses of ice change shape on a daily basis as their melting process is well underway.

The coastline along St. Lunaire-Griquet changes continuously which makes this unique village very scenic. You have large rocks in the foreground of this picture, a fishing boat moored next to them, fishing shacks erected along the harbour and then on the opposite side, the landscape is adorned with lush green hillsides.

This small fishing village has approximately 1,000 permanent residents that enjoy the peacefulness that each day brings to this coastline community. ... continue below the picture...
