In high altitudes in the mountains, snow can exist for most of the year, even on a sunny day such as this one. When it is sunny but cold, the sun glistens off ice and snow which surround the river and even on the bare branches of the trees. This is a beautiful, breathtaking sight.

This valley is very popular with tourists and although can be difficult to get to, especially in the winter time, it is well worth taking the time to go up here as the views are just stunning. With a backdrop of snow-capped mountains, this alpine river meanders along the valley floor while fringed by the magnificent scenery of frosted trees and fresh snow - a true winter wonderland.
