Moraine Lake in the Valley of the Ten Peaks at sunrise is probably the most iconic landscape photograph beside Lake Louise in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Alberta, Canada.
This glacier feed lake is best known for its amazing turquoise color in contrast with orange lit up mountain peaks around it. To me it is the most scenic lake within the National Park with a dramatic landscape around it. A visit to this beautiful lake is a must when visiting Banff National Park, there is a good reason why this is one of the most famous vacation spots within the Rocky Mountains.
I photographed this canadian icon with a large format camera in the format 5x7" on Fuji Velvia film, I then scanned the photo with the Hasselblad (Imacon) X5 scanner. The quality and resolution of this fine art photograph is amazing and only can be imagined via the heavily compressed web photos.
I had this photo shown on many exhibitions in Europe and only a large fine art, high quality print is able to bring out all those amazing details of this gorgeous landscape and lake.
