A cougar which is otherwise known as a Mountain Lion peers out from behind some bushes on Northern Vancouver Island, Canada.

A Mountain Lion is one of the biggest challenges to photograph because they are extremely elusive. Mountain Lions are the second largest and most widely distributed cat in the Americas. Also referred to as cougars, pumas, or panthers, the Mountain Lion is prevelent on Canadas Vancouver Island. Cougars prey on deer primarily, which makes up 80 to 90 percent of its diet supplemented with other small mammals and elk.
