A power kite and the board are two of the main pieces of gear needed for kiteboarding which are seen in this picture along the beach in Orewa, New Zealand. The kites come in many different colors with the board being a little more detailed in its surface designs.The board has two slots where each foot fits which helps in the balance while surfing across the surface of the water and trying to steer at the same time. Over the years, the kiteboarding gear has been created with stronger material and the design of the kites are more advanced. More safety gear has been added, making kiteboarding not quite as complicated as when this sport was first introduced. I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II, aperture of f/5.6, exposure time of 1/640 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 16mm.
