A peaceful photo of a killer whale cruising the waters off Northern Vancouver Island with it's spout backlit by the low set sun.
The black skin of the killer whale appears shiny as it plows through the water towards Malcolm Island.
Large killer whale male (Orcinus orca), part of the Northern Resident Killer Whales, breathing out which creates a beautiful backlit spout, Malcolm Island off Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada
I photographed this photo with the digital SLR camera model Canon EOS-1DS, aperture of f/7.1, exposure time of 1/1250 sec. on ISO 100, as always I used a original Canon Lens, the focus lenght for this picture was 320mm.
