Photo: Historic Lunenburg Nova Scotia Canada
Considered one of the most beautiful and historic towns in Nova Scotia, Canada, Lunenburg features colourful waterfront architecture which hails from its days as a seafaring village of the late 18th century.
Arriving in the historic town of Lunenburg is like taking a giant step back in time, to an era where the waterfront and harbour moved to a different tune - as a major fishing and boat building port.
Dozens of historic buildings and private homes built in the old town of Lunenburg date back to the 1760's and have been meticulously maintained over the years. The streets of the old town also still follow the original plan from when the town was established in 1753.
