A legacy to a great man, Dr Wilfred Grenfell, who first arrived on the shores of Newfoundland in 1892 to improve the lives of the coastal inhabitants and fishermen. The Grenfell Interpretation Centre is an information centre about Dr Grenfell's life and contributions to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.
The interpretation centre, situated in St Anthony at the northern end of the Great Northern Peninsula, conveys the story of how Dr Grenfell saw to the medical needs of the inhabitants as well as the spiritual and social aspects of their lives.
